COVID-19 case counts now on HIDOE website

Aloha Waipahu High staff, parents and guardians,

This week, only one positive COVID-19 case was reported at Waipahu High School.  We are in contact with their families and have sent our aloha for a speedy recovery. Out of respect for their privacy, we won’t be sharing additional information.  Starting next week, we will no longer be calling home to report COVID-19 case counts.
The Hawaii Department of Education now posts COVID-19 case information on its website.  Users will be able to view case counts by schools over a period of time.  Please click on this link HIDOE COVID-19 case counts to access case counts for all DOE schools.  Scroll down the page till you reach COVID-19 HIDOE Case Counts and click on the "School Level View" block.  Users can view the schools with the highest number of cases or select their school of interest.
We appreciate everyone’s effort both on and off campus which has kept our COVID-19 case counts low.  This includes following county, state and federal requirements to stop the spread of the virus. Please continue to practice physical distancing, wear a mask, wash your hands frequently, and avoid unnecessary social gatherings.
As a reminder, before coming onto campus, please do a wellness check. If someone in your household has been tested for COVID-19 or if they are exhibiting symptoms, please call before coming to campus so we can assess the situation.
Thank you for your assistance.  Have a great weekend.  Stay safe and take care.
