School Vision
Waipahu High School's vision is to provide student-centered educational programs that challenge all students to perform at their highest potential.
School Mission
Waipahu High School prepares students for success in the 21st century by engaging them in rigorous and relevant learning opportunities that promote academic, physical, and emotional growth.

Vision of a Hawaii Public Graduate
All Hawaii public school graduates will:
  • Realize their individual goals and aspirations
  • Possess the attitudes, knowledge and skills necessary to contribute positively and compete in a global society
  • Exercise the rights and responsibilities of citizenship
  • Pursue post-secondary education and/or careers without the need for remediation
Six General Learner Outcomes (GLOs)
The General Learner Outcomes (GLOs) serve as the essential, overarching goals of standards based learning. The GLOs are integrated into all areas of the school and students are expected to demonstrate the GLOs in their daily learning experiences, assessments, and co-curricular experiences. The GLOs are:
GLO #1: Self-Directed Learner -
            The ability to be responsible for one's own learning
GLO #2: Community Contributor -
            The understanding that it is essential for human beings to work together
GLO #3: Complex Thinker -
            The ability to be involved in complex thinking and problem solving
GLO #4: Quality Producer -
            The ability to recognize and produce quality performance and products
GLO #5: Effective Communicator -
            The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences for a variety of purposes
GLO #6: Effective and Ethical User of Technology -
            The ability to use a variety of technologies effectively and ethically
