welcome to Waipahu High School my name is Marissa Nakamura and I'm your student government president for the school year 2020-2021 here are our model is my voice my choice my future if you need help with any information about Waipahu High School ask any Student Government member we are always happy to help you have a great school year office is open to anyone that has questions about the school you come here it's to get your lunch cheese or a bus pass taken care of also if you are absent or sick you come here to get it checked out we're standing here in the buildings of e&s here you can find the career center there are computers and printers available for student use you can also say in a worker's permit here if you need help regarding mock interview are finding an internship opportunity you can do that all at the career center if you would like to sign up for early college and running start because your Center is the place to go early college students also have the opportunity to join I said a Kappa Honor Society which is a two-year College Honor Society and did you know that Waipahu High School's ptk is the first college Honor Society on a high school campus in the nation this is the college Center here you can sign up for college presentations the act and sat as well as ASVAB you can also find more information for Europe so if you have a public high school we have a student operated Credit Union and its Credit Union students and teachers can make a bank account for $5 a savings account for $20 and they can also deposit money here Credit Union is an amazing opportunity for students to learn Banking and customer service skills personal government you can purchase soon planners and spirit are at the student government body me an event such as homecoming fairs and much more if you have free time please check out the bulletin board by evolving as it has the most and recent upcoming events I'm right here we have a quad we hold a lot of our spirit events over here such as glucose and all the Mater Dei you also have Almost Famous event homecoming event such as artist Awards home it's where all the Villalobos compete in a cheer competition to see which year was the best galvanized 3 we have the culinary program students learn in culinary one with a bit of culinary starting from like basic Cuts basic techniques down to finishing and as we move on into the years we have connected to or they can choose baking and pastry and told him to dig learn more advanced things in culinary form like all the different things and how to cook things I didn't feel she and call 93 they also have a chance in in business management are things we have in common they program is after school students do have a chance to work with professionals as a field trip and also they have the culinary restaurant itself from Robert Half Colorado Cafe as basically were students get to Atlantis roller skills with professionals I walk into the air we have all the sports down there we have the baseball and softball field behind me is the tennis courts and the biggest one of all is a football field turn it to where people learn how to do hurdles friends or my personal favorite the throwing events from discus to Chocolate but the biggest thing is a football Beholder games there for everybody is the homecoming night for basically hoping how about the results from things from a spirit week from blue and gold from Field Day tug-of-war and most of all Arthur Awards here is Q building and hearing Q I think we have the JROTC classrooms right over there and over there by the Japanese classrooms we have a Japanese style Rock Garden made by Waipahu students back in May of 2019 this rock garden is made for represent our relationship with our sister School in Hiroshima each of the four classes council is in the making of Designing a Camaro that has its mascot to the left we have the funeral thing going on today right we have Juniors sophomores and then freshman the school mural in the middle represents the four classes as a whole this is the senior mural each year there's a new design by the senior class Council and then for you your classes mascot will be here as well this is Waipahu High School cafeteria where we serve breakfast and lunch daily there are two other places on campus where we do lunch which is the admin building and the gym we also do assemblies and activities here such as open house parent night and college readiness this is the building right across from the cafeteria is called the music building and Coors team practice in a library you have computer access to research for your homework project Etc they also allow you to make copies and print this is V building subjects include science math and categories include Academy of Health and Science Academy of engineering Academy of Ohana's Excellence Academy of Arts and communication YouTube buildings behind me are apart of the Academy of industrial engineering and technology or it for specifically these classrooms have a designated area attached student can have Hands-On experiences that will eventually help them gain the skills they need for a career in the trades some of the shop classes we offer at Waipahu are automotive electronics wood and metal this is the home of the Canada natural resources we do composting Hydroponics and aquaponics we also work at the department of land and resources on Ark road trip are native plants inside the mountains
