The Environmental Resource Management program of study focuses on the impact of human societies on the environment. Students learn from the experts in the field of Environmental Resource Management in Hawai'i.  We begin with understanding our community, our island and our planet. ANR Capstone
A Capstone Project demonstrates a student's culmination of knowledge, skills, and attitude by seniors in the Natural Resource Academy. This senior project provides a venue for seniors to plan and execute an individualized study, on a particular topic, that interests them. Participants will have their independent research study periodically assessed by his or her instructor. Capstone students are required to enlist the guidance of an adult mentor from the school or community.

Every capstone project has three required components which include:
1. A research paper demonstrating a student's information and knowledge acquisition skills
2. A formal oral presentation before a panel of industry experts
3. A portfolio that documents the student's “learning journey” and verifies the learning process.

The topic of interest will be student driven and the choice of media for the presentation will be at the discretion of the student presenter.
