Academy Mission Statement

The Academy of Natural Resources prepares all students to become environmentally conscious practitioners of aloha 'āina* who contribute personally and professionally to a sustainable world.

Goals and Benchmarks for the Academy
 
Goal 1:  75% of students will complete a minimum of one Natural Resources Pathway course, per year enrolled, with a grade of C or higher for Natural Resources Pathway courses.
 
Goal 2:  Natural Resources students will develop knowledge about careers and work related opportunities in Hawaii where they may best utilize their talents and aptitudes.  75% of students will complete a minimum of 25 hours per year of work-based/practical learning experience (as listed on the College and Career Continuum), on and off campus, by graduation.
 
Goal 3:  85% of the Academy of Natural Resources seniors will be accepted into post-secondary education, military, college, technical school, Natural Resources work-based internships, paid or unpaid training programs and/or a combination of these options.
