What is AVID?

AVID’s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.

Who are AVID students?

AVID is an internationally recognized college readiness program designed to increase the number of students who are traditionally underrepresented to enroll and persist in college.  These include students from ethnic minorities, first in family to attend college, or of economic need, however all eligible students may benefit from the AVID program.
